National Startup Day

Many of us have that itch wanting to start something of our own, to solve a problem we care about, to build something meaningful. But we keep waiting for the “right time.”

every successful country has had to deal with its own share of thorny challenges along its development path. What matters is how we respond.

Today is National Startup Day :india:, and I can’t think of a better time to build something in India, and for the world, despite all the challenges.

Today, everything has changed. We’re living in a world where every country is focused on its own self-sufficiency, and the era of unchecked globalisation is over. For India, this means we have all the enabling factors in place: improving ease of doing business, deeper pools of local capital (especially long-term investors), a massive domestic market, and active government support for startups.

Most importantly, AI has dramatically reduced the barriers to experimentation. You can now build and test ideas that would have required entire teams and massive budgets just a few years ago.

@nithin If you had to ship a version of your idea in 30 days using only AI and no team, what would you build, given all the optimism with government support and the right ecosystem?

Also, if you don’t build a solution to the problem you see, who benefits from your delay?

I like that he mentioned, “build something in India, and for the world”. Both are equally important.

While, I agree that the government is very supportive of Startups, in rhetoric as well as action. But the real need of the hour is not to launch schemes or programmes but to remove the Babudom from the Indian business world. Small businesses or Startups don’t need govt support as much as they need Babus to get out of their way.
