NAV date issue of budget day

Why is equity MF bought on February 1, 2026, within window before 1 PM, taking NAV of February 2, 2026?

Feb 1, 2026 is a non business day for mutual funds, even though the equity market is open. We’ve mentioned it here.

So any equity MF order placed that day was processed on the next business day and gets Feb 2 NAV.
