I pasted the below code but the results are not showing up as desired.
LAST > OPEN OR VOLUME > REF(VOLUME, 1) * 5
The system is just showing me the list of added symbols again as the scanned results. Would be grateful is some one could help.

As per above query the code is correct and in pi the alerts changes with time, and you can only see the list of selected scripts changing with price, it is generating alerts.
