But problem is when someone have short first margin requirements will be high…then he has to do one by one which will charge brokerage
Sir, suppose due to big move If my 9900sell call in 300 rs loss and 9800buy call in 300rs profit and as my net P/L is zero, then will i get margin call for extra funds as my sell call in loss without considering buycall ???
At zero loss, your straddle/ strangle will not attract any margin call

@siva-reddy @nithin @Bhuvan OTM buying is problem in zerodha , i cannot buy 9400 put on weekely , then what is the benifit of hedging in zerodha , then why i want to trade here i itself confused , i will try to switch to another broker waste of time for me … every month you are taking brokerag @35 k + with me then why you are not doing some thing for me
please answer . if it is like that only (OR) we need to move to others tell me
Or try to make partication ZERODHA Bangalore (BLR) and Zerodha Chennai (CHI) And Zerodha Mumbai (MUB) take 3 to 5 license

No margin call
Margin call also will be based on span and exposure, so if span and exposure is maintained then there wouldn’t be any margin call for short options.
Why am I not allowed to buy 9500PE as a hedge when I am seeling 9700 pe ?
Soon we will allow to hedge with option buy without any restriction if one is having short.

so how to calculate the span and exposure increase with respect to price movement for a hedged positions…does sellcall loss will increase span and exposure without considering buycall profits ???
that is only what is required (disable naked buying to prevent oi buildup), will it be possible in one-two months.
Please make a basket where if short options are there then otm options buy should be enabled across all strikes. We want it in a single order window or else it will be confusing.

Couldn’t take a trade today due to restrictions on Nifty weekly otm options buy side. Very disappointing, never had a problem with zerodha from 2016 and today suddenly i can’t trade. Now I have to search for new brokers till this issues get resolved
