NHAI InvIT bonds - Offering interesting yield

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the public issue of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). The issue opens on 17th October, 2022, and closes on Nov 7th, 2022.

Some Interesting points

  • Issue period : 17th Oct to 7th Nov ,2022

  • Tenors : 13 years - 18 years - 25 years

  • Face value : 300+300+400 = 1000 per NCD

  • Coupon : 7.90% p.a payable semi -annually

  • Effective yield : 8.05%

  • Rating : AAA Rated

  • Repayment of principal : Starts from 8th year for 13 year strip, 13th year for 18 year strip and 18th year for 25 year strip

Currently, we do not offer NCD IPOs on Kite. This is on our list of things to do.

You can apply through Netbanking ASBA using your Zerodha account details, the process remains the same as applying for IPOs. You can check it here: Is it possible to apply for an IPO without using UPI?

Very nice thread on the NHAI InvIT bonds. Seems like many found it a bargain buy considering 8+% yields

Because last date is 7th Nov.

There was so much demand that it was closed just in a day

Unless you are in lower tax bracket, I didn’t think it made lot of sense to lock in for 25 years at 7.9%.
