No one knows what will happen in the “long-term”. No one. So we should really stop betting on the narrative that things will be alright in the long term. Your purchasing power is being eroded in the name of long term - you are buying expensive right now, hoping it will become cheaper for you 10 years later.
10 years back did you know you would be here? Did you think the economy would be here? Did you know there would have been a pandemic, AI, tariffs, all these? So really stop betting on long-term.
I would think that there’s a nuanced difference between long-term speculating and investing .
Basically, avoid long-term betting, and start/continue investing instead?
