Is it so that margin can not be used while placing a bracket order? Or in other words, does MIS multiplier can be 1X only in case of BOs?
Bracket orders allow for more leverage/margin as compared to MIS orders. You can find out the exact margin needed to place an order in a particular scrip in the Margin Calculator.
The leverage for MIS orders is 3-14 times but for bracket orders you can get upto 20 times or even more depending on the scrip.

But when I chose MIS and BO simultaneously while placing an order, the order gets rejected stating ‘insufficient funds’ as the reason. However, the same order gets placed when I put a regular MIS order.
Hmm…it could be possible that when entering the stop loss & target in the BO order window, you are entering the price & not the price difference. For ex -

Actually yes. I was entering the prices only as you showed in the former image. I’ll try to do it with the price difference. Hopefully, it should work this time.
