Can F&O equity trading be done in an NRE PIS account in Zerodha?

Regulations don’t allow F&O trading for NRE accounts. Only equity is allowed.

Confused about NRO/NRE separate account for FNO and equity

Regulations state that for trading F&O, it’ll need to be through the Rupee funds held in India on non-repatriation basis (NRO) only. An additional requirement is to obtain a custodial participant (CP) code. NRIs have to take delivery of shares purchased and give delivery of shares sold; They cannot trade intraday or BTST. Building on this, is there NRE non-PIS account option? I know there is NRO PIS, NRE PIS and NRO Non-PIS.

Also under PIS, can you invest in Bonds, Mutual funds, ETFs? Does Zerodha stop you from investing in securities that your account isn’t eligible for or if the stock has hit foreign holding limit?

I read that NRO and NRE accounts, both, can be linked to a single zerodha account. Is that correct? What would be the benefits for that?
