NRI account converion

Hi, I now have a demat account in Zerdha and soon I plan to convert it NRI account as I don’t live in India anymore. My questions

  1. Is it possible to convert my existing demat account to an NRI demat account?
  2. Which bank should I choose to open an NRE account that supports my demat account conversion in Zerodha?
  3. In the future, how can I invest through Zerodha if I’m not a citizen of India?

Hi @Venkatesh_VK, you can convert your existing Zerodha account to a NRI account. You can check the process here: Can an existing Zerodha account be converted to an NRI account?

Instead of opening a NRI PIS account, you can open a Non-PIS NRI account, this also has advantages over PIS account which we have explained in detail here: What is the difference between a PIS and a NON-PIS account?
