Nsdl Speede/iDeas Query

I know lot of knowledgeable person are here in this forum. Please help me to understand this. I registered for NSDL IDeAS using my icici direct demat account credentials. So my question is if I close the demat account with ICICI direct will this NSDL IDeAS account get automatically closed? If not, then how can I close it? ICICI direct customer care executives do not have any information about it, and I also tried to register from NSDL IDeAS Portal, but it is not closing.

If I close my ICICI demat account and keep this NSDL account open, is there any problem in that?

As already answered here, there’s no point in having access to speed-e if you are closing the account linked to it. Will there be any problem, I don’t think so. But you can check with the NSDL team once on this.

Speede and Ideas Facility

No, it won’t. There’s no point having access to speed-e if you don’t have any any account linked to it. Ideas and speede are products offered by NSDL. Zerodha opens demat accounts with CDSL. The corresponding products from CDSL are called easiest and easi. Please look up answers since these are already explained on this forum/Zerodha’s support articles.

Hey, we don’t do business with NSDL. But I’m informed that after 40 days of your account closure of your NSDL account, the IdeAs login will get disabled. If any doubts, please reach out to your NSDL DP directly.
