We have calculated the upfront margin penalty and refunded the same. The margin penalty on ledger will also include non-upfront margin penalty. Hence the difference.

which report shud he look for if any penalty is charge…
& what is descrption in that report to tell that it is actualy penalty money…

You mean it was done earlier or today? Because I had checked before I raised the ticket.
If the margin penalty is charged, it is posted on the ledger on Console. You can check all the ledger entries by following the steps given here.

But I do not understand as to how you were able to reverse GST amount. You can’t pass a credit note after 6 months. Anyways. May be I am missing something.

Hey @Hritik_khanna, we’ve been refunding any upfront margin penalty charged from October 2021 onwards. If you’ve not received the refund yet for any reasons, please create a ticket at support.zerodha.com.
