NSE modifies WTI Crude Oil options expiry date

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has announced a significant change to the expiry schedule for WTI Crude Oil Options on Futures contracts, effective from November 6, 2025.


Key Change

Previous expiry: Two business days before the underlying futures contract expires

New expiry: Seven business days before the underlying futures contract expires


Implementation Timeline

The revised expiry dates will apply to:

  • December 2025 contracts and all subsequent months
  • Changes become effective from November 6, 2025
  • Expiry dates for already launched contracts (December 2025 and January 2026) will be revised from November 19, 2025

Why this change?

Any reason given from NSE ?

This is for NSE only right ? not MCX

Do you allow commodities on NSE? I thought all commodities are disallowed by Zerodha on NSE?

Yes, we allow a few contracts in NCO. If liquidity increases, we’ll enable more contracts. Please check the link .
