How do old Stockbrokers mostly located in and around Phiroze Jeejeebhoy Towers/South Mumbai survive in today’s tech heavy world and compete with the likes of Zerodha, Upstox etc. ?
I have heard through my sources that most of these brokers have Holdings north of 100 Crores
Do they indulge in marketing to acquire customers?
Or they do Prop Trading/Market Making like in Chicago?
Or they act as operators in collusion with other brokers?
I sometimes see their names in Bulk/Block deals trading in scrips never heard of.
