On the dashboard, what does each of the terms; Total account value, Free cash and Margin used mean?

Specifically, what is margin used?

i will explain it you… with help of example…

let’s say… i deposit 1 Lakh in my trading account… and start trading with that amount…

so, total account value is 1 Lakh…

now, i purchase 20 shares of Infosys @ 1000 rs…/ share… it means… 1000*20 = 20,000

so, it means i purchase infosys shares of amount 20,000…

so, margin used is 20,000

now 80,000 left in my account…

so, free cash is 80,000
