Option lot size

Even though we cant buy 50 quantity in 1 lot of nifty(which is 75). Why does kite ask us to enter quantity rather than lot size?

 Sounds logical.

because not every options/assets have the same lot size, hence it’s easier to understand what you’re getting into by entering the quantity so you know that 1 point movement is 75rs Profit/Loss for this script. pretty much simple and straight forward. when you click up/down arrow it’ll add qty in multiples of lot sizes so no issues there as well.

not really. It’s not possible to know all the Fno Script’s lot size. even if you know, everyone does not! so it’s better this way so you know what you’re getting into!

newbies might think that buying future of nifty as 1 Qty LOT will give them profit loss of 1rs per 1rs move but it’s 75rs profit/loss as lot size is 75, hence showing Qty instead of Lot size when placing orders makes much more sense.
