Options writing better to trade in intraday or carry position overnight?

Options writing is one of the ways to execute your trading idea, similar to using futures or option buying. So the question to ask is, what is your trading idea - intraday or overnight. But yeah, option writing can be used for both intraday or overnight trades.

Usually, Institutional Investors write options in bulk and they never buy it back.
They predict what values the underlying wont reach and they write those options.
Intraday variations wont be huge. But positional definitely yes. Will vary widely. As long as the option moves in your favorable direction or the underlying is flat or consolidates, keeping positional is good as far as option writing.
Once the underlying moves against you, you could square off in profits and close your position.
This is my personal opinion.
