Enhancing User Experience on Kite App: A Call for Personalized Customization of Order Window

In the ever-evolving landscape of trading apps, user experience is the cornerstone of satisfaction and efficiency. Kite, a leading trading platform, has continuously raised the bar with its intuitive features and seamless interface. However, there’s always room for improvement, and one such area is the customization of the order window layout.

The Need for Personalization

Every trader has unique priorities. For some, executed orders are paramount; for others, GTT (Good Till Triggered) orders or alerts might be the focal point. As a trader who values alerts as the most useful feature, I find myself wishing they were positioned more conveniently—perhaps nestled between executed orders and GTT. Yet, I understand this preference may not resonate with all users.

This is where the concept of personalized customization comes into play. Much like the flexible control setup in popular games like PUBG Mobile, where players can rearrange buttons to their liking, Kite users could greatly benefit from the ability to rearrange and re-sequence sub-windows within the app according to their individual preferences.

The Benefits of Customization

  1. Enhanced User Experience: Allowing users to tailor the layout to their needs would make the app more intuitive and enjoyable to use.

The idea is simple:

Introduce a drag-and-drop interface within the app settings.

Allow users to rearrange sub-windows like “Executed Orders,” “GTT,” “Alerts,” and others.

Provide a default layout option for those who prefer the current setup.

This feature could revolutionize the way traders interact with the app, making it a pioneer in personalization within the trading app domain.

For users, this flexibility translates to a more tailored and efficient trading experience. For Kite, it reinforces its position as a user-centric platform, fostering loyalty and attracting a broader user base.

Customization of order window is not possible, but we are working on to give option to set default quantity etc, also based on most used tabs we will be rearranging fields, we may bring alerts on app before baskets and sip in coming weeks.

Users can create and name groups (e.g., “Banking Stocks,” “Tech Stocks,” “Short-Term Trades”).

Grouping will help users organize scrips based on their trading or investment strategies.

  1. Drag-and-Drop Organization:

Users can easily drag scrips to rearrange within groups or move them between groups.

  1. Collapsible Groups:

Groups can be collapsed or expanded to declutter the watchlist view, especially when tracking a large number of stocks.

  1. Color Coding or Tags:

Users can assign colors or tags to groups for quick visual identification.

  1. Seamless Integration:

The feature integrates into the existing interface without requiring a complete redesign, keeping it intuitive.

Real-time price updates are maintained within grouped watchlists.

    When filters are applied then rather than filtering from whole list of scrips, filter can be applied in individual group, thus resulting in groupwise applicability

If possible please take it as priority matter as the requirements were already part of kite app just they were removed due to some issues, please Re-introduce it ASAP
