i want to place stop loss, target same time. how?
eg. wipro LTP 500 which is executed. i want i bear bear loss 10 rupee. 490. and i wanna target 10 rupee profit. want to exit 510. how to place order same time? BRACKET ORDER, COVER ORDER somewhat confused.

If you open BO panel we see Target and Stop Loss set the but in absolute or tick values not the actual value. e.g. Target is 510 therefore you must put 10 in target not 510 and 10 in Stop Loss not 490.
Is this correct? i want to try.
but i read somewhere in zerodha site to put in number of ticks wherein so much ticks is equal to…something like that.

As in above example, my buy price is 178.25 , my stop loss price is 173.25 and my target is 188.25. Thus i put 5 as stop loss and 10 as target . If i want to trail the profit when price moves by every 7 points in my favour, i will use a trailing stop of 7 points.

Please solve my problem mentioned below.
I would like to trade in stock option. suppose i place a limit order @ premium of 3 in NRML & it gets executed. now immediately i would like place a stoploss of 1 & target of 1 point. how to do that?
All this i m asking because BO, CO & SL-M are not allowed for stock option.
Please tell us how to do that without using BO?
I placed buy order. got executed. then tried to put target & stop loss separately from exit option. 1st selected the exit from position then select the target of +2 point. again selected the exit from position & placed SL-M of -2 point. 1st my stop loss hit due to price fall. but what i observed that in order book my target sell order is still open. now after some time my target order hit & executed due to price bounce back. but then i came in loss because my target sell order become active as SELL order.
Any idea how to do that with out BO?
I have been asking this simple question for long now but even many so called experienced traders have still not answered this simple question. I am sure lot of ppl face this situation , not everyone places BO or CO many just place order and then think to add stop loss and target later…how to do that especially in Options ? Is it possible , if yes how ?
guys he is talking about an open position. I also have doubt, how to place target for an open NFO position. I fear that the target order should not get executed as a new order. I want that when target is hit it exits already open position. Please provide specific answer. We all know how to open cover order and bracket order. The problem is by chance if we opened a normal position but now later we want to add target and stop loss how to do that ?
