Please ADD Reset Button

Hi Zerodha Team,
It is my sincere request to add a reset or refresh chart button. Sometimes the chart doesn’t load when kept idle. Attaching a picture for Reference.

Yes this is a must have. Fyers already got a in chart refresh button to update OHLC data. The bars plotted live often have wrong H and L values because of tick delay and only way now to get accurate bars is to do browser refresh which often takes longer time and mess up the drawings and symbols. We need a simple dedicated button for chart update

Yes, it’s necessary. When there are fluctuations in network connectivity and some ticks are missed, Zerodha doesn’t plot those ticks afterward. As a result, the candles often appear different, requiring a chart refresh to get accurate data. Zerodha should either improve this method (as I haven’t observed this behavior with other brokers or TradingView) or provide a chart reset button.

@Arockiya_Raja Could you please check this?

True that. I’m a fyers user too. Fyers charts are much lively compared to zerodha charts. They are really dull

All platforms function the same way, not just zerodha.

Sharing the explanation from our support article.

When a chart is opened, live candles are formed on the user's computer or mobile using the ticks or prices streamed from Zerodha's end. Historical candles or the pre-existing candles on the chart are stored at Zerodha's end using the market data received from exchanges. The data used to form candles on the user's device could be a subset of the actual data received by Zerodha. This can happen due to variations in internet speed and uptime, resulting in the user receiving fewer ticks. Consequently, the candles plotted on the user's device may slightly differ from the candles saved at Zerodha's end for historical data. When the user refreshes the chart or opens a new one, Zerodha streams the historical candles, replacing the previously plotted candles from the time the chart was opened. This can lead to slight differences in how the chart appears upon refreshing or reopening the same chart.

Please share the video recording or additional details supporting this statement so we can investigate and update on this.

Replied Akash on another thread. Added to our to-do list, we will add a refresh button to the chart.
