Pledge holdings is not working for Mutual fund - INF769K01DM9

Hi Team,

I have a mutual fund in my Zerodha Coin account - MIRAE ASSET ELSS TAX SAVER FUND - DIRECT PLAN (INF769K01DM9). This security is on Zerodha’s approval list for pledging for margin (Approved list of securities that can be pledged for margins – Zerodha).

When I try to pledge this, I keep getting an error message saying “OVERDUE.” Why am I unable to pledge this security?

This mutual fund is showing as eligible to pledge on the holdings page of the console as well as in the available list on Zerodha. Why can’t I pledge it?

The units you’re holding in demat could be locked in, so their immediate status would be OVERDUE. After the EOD process, if the free units are available, it’ll go through or fail. We’ll soon start updating EOD status for your reference.
