I went to open an NRI demat account at the XXXX Securities office. The agent there told me to buy a policy so I could get a discount on the NRI brokerage plan. I bought the policy, but my account wasn’t opened for 25 days.
Since the policy was still within the free-look period, I cancelled the policy. Now the agent keeps calling and messaging me to buy the policy again, saying that only then the management will approve the discount. I really don’t understand this behaviour. I already bought the policy once, my account wasn’t opened, and now he’s pushing me to buy another one. It’s extremely annoying.

Why do you want to do business with that company? Why not just go with Zerodha?
