Possibility of transferring ELSS Mutual Funds from other broker to Zerodha

Hi Team,

Please help me in understanding the possibility of transferring ELSS Mutual Funds in my name from other broker to Zerodha Coin ?

Since ELSS funds have lock in period we can transfer or not? If possible planning to use CDSL Easiest to to this procedure.

The only way to transfer ELSS mutual funds under lock-in from one demat to another is via closure cum transfer. The locked in units can only be moved to another demat account of the same account holder.

If the ELSS scheme is out of the lock-in period or has free units, it can be transferred without any restrictions.
