Came across POWERGRID InvIT ipo and its lot price is 110k INR. Is this the lot price for retail investors?
But I thought that every IPO lot price should fit into a price band of 14k - 15k INR.?
I m confused Is there any SEBI’s constrain that the lot price should be in the 14k-15k range?
Yes, for InvITs IPO, SEBI guideline (Circular SEBI/HO/DDHS/DDHS/CIR/P/2019/59) mandate a minimum lot price of Rs 1,00,000 -
Manner of determining minimum allotment for publicly offered InvITs and REITs
For determining the allotment in an initial offer, by a publicly offered InvITs/REITs, following guidelines shall be applicable:
3.1. The value of each allotment lot shall not be less than Rs 1 lakh for InvITs and Rs 50,000 for REITs, where such lot shall consist of 100 units.
3.2. Allotment to any investor shall be made in the multiples of a lot.
For Equity IPOs, the Rs 10,000-15,000 range for lot price is rule by SEBI (Press Release and SEBI Board Meeting (Page 18))
Thank you for explanation @Prayag
what would be in the case of Zomato’s IPO?
Is it an equity IPO or else different?
Yes. For equities, the max would be 15k per lot.
