Prolonged closure of stock market and its impact on short term options

Just a theoretical question.

What if due to some unforseen circumstances , govt shuts down stock market for a prolonged period.
What will happen to the near term options whose expiry dates have already passed when the market once again opens?

if the market shuts down the fate of these options would depend on the specific policies set by the exchange and regulatory bodies. typically, either automatic settlement or extension of expiry or maybe declaring the contracts void or something else we dont know. the exact outcome would depend on the rules set forth by the exchange and regulatory guys to handle such extraordinary situations.
