Put Option MIS Order

By mistake i placed an MIS order for a Put Option which would be squared off end of the day. I think i will loose the premium if I dont Sell. Also for selling i would need the margin. Is the understanding right ?

Should i leave it as it is as i dont want to sell it depositing the margin amount ?

If you have placed a Mis Buy order for a put option, you can exit that position without paying any additional margin, and you don’t have to wait till your position is squared off.

I think you’re confused between the margin required for option selling and exiting an Intraday buy position. You can sell off your existing buy option position without any additional margin.

For Option buyers, the maximum loss is the premium paid whereas, for Option writers(sellers), the maximum loss is unlimited.
