If I have 100 shares pledged of a stock, and if I sell 50 shares of that stock, then will the entire shares will be unpledged or only 50 shares will get unpledged and remaining 50 will still be pledged.
As there is instant unpledging now, if I sold all 100 shares and purchase them later in the same day, do I have to pledge my purchase transaction again or will it be considered as intraday and have no effect on my pledged holdings.
Only 50 will be unpledged and remaining 50 will remain pledged.
It’ll be an intraday trade. As you are buy6 back the pledged quantities that you sold on the same day, the pledged quantity will be reinstated, and the collateral margin will be immediately added back to your account.
