I think it is because, you get the the physical asset in your possession when you buy a property. Once you bought the property, I do not think anyone will keep checking if the value of the property is increasing or decreasing.
on the other hand, in case of stocks, it is every day appraisal. Every day, we know what the stocks did and not did and then the downside happens and everyone think it is the end of the world.
These are my personal views only
One needs to be educated while dealing with STOCKS. Real Estate? doesn’t even need to know sign the documents. Thumb impression is enough!
