I am writing this because the bloomberg terminal is too costly to access.
Earlier i used to refer moneycontrol website - but now most of the news are not related to stocks - instead they have click bait articles on bollywood, masala & other non relevant news.
What other website provides real time financial news and updates?
Twitter is a great source these days to get an update on realtime financial news.
I follow biz channels. Edelweiss also used to provide realtime news not sure if they are doing it now.
Pulse is also a good aggregator of news from various sources.
I had a good laugh! 
But like @vikramaditya said, I think Twitter is the best source of news. Just follow the right handles and avoid the snake oil salesmen. I think LiveSquawk and Walter Bloomberg are good for global news. For local news, usually one of the business channels would suffice.

Pulse is nice and i use it too, but some of those masala articles from moneycontrol also get pulled in. Very annoying.
this is so true everywhere. entertainment is the main thing now a days in life.

meanwhile pulse.zerodha also serves the job - but how to hide the non relevant news that comes up from money control ?
