On Friday (28th Nov, 2025), I noticed that the maximum leverage for any stock is 4.35x from 5x earlier. Index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Reliance, TCS, etc which had 5x leverage, now have 4.35x. Also the leverage of PSU Banks has come down to 3.85x to 4x from 4.25x+. Haven’t checked others.
What could be the reason for this decrease?
