Can I take new position for following values of trading account.
Following values are available at the beginning of the day ( 9:15 a.m. )
Available margin : 8,00,000
Available cash : 32,000
Opening balance : -10,000
Yes, you can. Though keep in mind the collateral margin available can only be used for intraday equity, trading futures and shorting options. If you want to buy stocks for delivery or buy options, you will need to maintain sufficient cash in your account.
But because of negative opening balance I am not allowed to take any position whether buy or sell.
Kite asks me to clear negative opening balance first.
What is problem here?
For long term sell position (jul/aug position) I dont need hard cash and I do have sufficient margin available.
