I have a question. If I buy Rights Entitlements (RE) from the market and do not exercise them, can I claim a short-term capital loss on them or not?
Also, if I apply for the rights entitlements, will the amount paid for the RE be included in the average cost of the shares allotted? If not, will I be able to claim a short-term capital loss on the rights entitlements or not?
