Regarding updating KYC in kra

Hi I have a query that in a support article of zerodha it is mentioned that when we update any kyc details like mobile and email it is triggered to cvl kra to update on kra database also I want to know that there only cvl kra is mentioned and my kra is cams kra so when I update my mobile or email is it applicable only to cvl kra or the trigger is also sent to cams kra.

Also when I change my email through console the esign page has the kyc form of cvl kra but my kyc records are with cams kra so when I change my email with zerodha how will it change in kra as in esign form the form is of cvl and what is the process to change my details in cams kra is it available with zerodha ?

As per my understanding, I remember reading earlier that KRAs can share KYC data with each other under the interoperability framework. So I’m assuming that even if the e-sign page shows a CVL KRA form, the updated details should eventually reflect in CAMS KRA as well if that’s where your KYC is registered. I

Even though Zerodha is tied up with CVL KRA and the eSign form shown during your mobile/email update reflects CVL’s format, the update isn’t restricted to CVL alone.

All five KRAs are interoperable as mandated by SEBI. When Zerodha pushes your updated mobile/email to CVL KRA, CVL’s back-end interoperability mechanism forwards the change to CAMS KRA, since that’s where your original/master KYC record resides. So the update ultimately reflects at your actual KRA itself (CAMS) — Zerodha doesn’t need a separate integration with CAMS for this; the KRA-to-KRA sync handles it.

In short: the form you see is CVL’s because that’s Zerodha’s registered KRA, but the data doesn’t stay siloed there — it syncs through to CAMS, where your master record lives.

Hope this clarifies.
