Repayment timeline for Fraklin India debt funds

Recently, Franklin India decided to wind down the following 6 debt MF schemes over liquidity issues.

  1. Franklin India Ultra Short Bond Fund (FIUBF)
  2. Franklin India Short Term Income Fund (FISTIP)
  3. Franklin India Credit Risk Fund (FICRF)
  4. Franklin India Low Duration Fund (FILDF)
  5. Franklin India Dynamic Accrual Fund (FIDA)
  6. Franklin India Income Opportunities Fund (FIIOF)

One of the biggest questions investors has was about when they would get their money back. Yesterday Franklin published a note with the recovery timelines and maturity profiles of the funds. This should give you an idea about when you can expect to recover your investments.

So @Bhuvan does that mean we will get our money part by part , or in the end of the 2 years. So for investor , will my money will be blocked in coin till they release all the money, or should we try redeeming in between ??

Recently the supreme court passed a verdict directing Franklin to seek the consent of unitholders. Once the consent is approved Franklin will start paying out the proceeds. You should get an email from Franklin on the voting soon.

You can’t redeem, the schemes have been shut down.
