7 Watchlist is not enough considering we have 5 expiries and a few other stocks to track

We started off with wanting to increase watchlist items and no of watchlist, but due to UI constraints, we had to redesign some bits of the watchlist to accommodate for ‘n’ number of watchlist instead of the current 7.
This is being actively worked on along with a few new watchlist features and hoping to roll this out in Kite web in September.

Is it possible to add like a watchlist feature which by default contains the constituents of a specific INDEX ?

For eg: A watchlist for NIFTY 50 would automatically add all 50 stocks to this watchlist.

It would be very useful and save lot of effort and ppl can delete the stocks which they don’t track from this list if they choose to.

Also, when the index gets rebalanced, the watchlist can be updated automatically.

Kindly roll out whatever feature has been developed so far. Be it half baked or whatever, just increase in number of watchlist is enough for now and develop all other features when you get time (I know your other feature introduction will take another 7-8 years). September over, October over, November almost half over. For a broker like Zerodha if just increasing watchlist takes one and half year then i don’t honestly think you guys will introduce any big feature going forward taking feedback from customers end (kindly remember this post was made in last may 2023 and no platform would need so many years to just to do even basic changes and no “UI constraint” will take years to solve afaik).

Another month has passed by and the feature that was promised to be rolled in September 2024 haven’t been rolled yet. Hope Zerodha takes some level of customer feedback seriously and implements things that are promised without so much delay.

@Meher_Smaran, I’m unable to add items (beyond 65) in the watchlist. It throws up the ‘cannot add more than 100 items’ error. Tried logging out and logging in again, but issue still persists.

Had tried that but don’t think it’s an app issue as I was able to add till 100 on a different account on the app & issue was there on PC as well.
Also, this happened on watchlist 4, but weirdly enough, was able to add till 100 on a different watchlist (3).

Almost 1.5 months since this post was made and looks like as usual Zerodha haven’t implemented the feature. May 2023 first feature request, 11 months later in March 2024 first set of upgrade i.e increase in number of scrip per watchlist to 100 and another 10 months have passed and yet another set of feature is yet to come. Looks like gotta wait till December 2025 for the features on tweet to be implemented.

Almost 1 year since last update to “Market Watch” and almost 3 months since this teaser was made https://x.com/zerodhaonline/status/1864612012397101207 of watchlist getting revamped but feature has yet to be introduced. Could we see this feature by end of this year at least or at least any timeline for introduction of this feature would be helpful.

We have released new native option chain few weeks ago, today evening few more features we will be releasing , few more are slotted for next week, this new market watch can take a month more.
