How to apply for SBI LIFE OFS?

You can approach your broker to know the process to apply for OFS. If you’re a Zerodha user, you can submit your bid from the back office (console). The process is explained here.

@investor90 https://support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/corporate-actions/articles/how-do-i-apply-for-ofs this link will help you if you have kite credentials .

Zerodha will not be funding your OFS Purchase. However, if your account results in a debit for any reason, post allotment of OFS, interest at the rate of 0.05% will be charged on the debit balance.

How do I pay for this OFS or when do I have to pay for this OFS?
I have placed the order but no charge is demanded by zerodha as of now.

Looks like Zerodha will debit the amount after the allotment from my trading account at zerodha. If there is no free cash in my trading account then zerodha will charge interest. Am I right?

Hey, Shubham,

You’ll have to maintain sufficient funds in your trading account before you place the OFS bid on the console. Zerodha will not be funding your OFS Purchase.

The back office only collects the order request, you have to ensure that the sufficient funds are available in your trading account when you place the order.

Yes, only after allotment the amount will be debited from your account, but Every bid/order for a Retail Investor (RI) and Non-Institutional Investor (NII) should be backed by 100% (Full) Cash Margin. If the required cash balance is not available in the client account, then the orders will be rejected.
