@Karthik - Thanks for the direction and clearing the doubts all along.

All,
Have just released the module - “Portfolio Optimization - MinVar” for automatically optimizing your portfolio with minimum variance. You will find the same under -

Risk Dashboard > Strategize > Portfolio Optimization - Min Var

You can check the following varsity module to understand the concept better - Portfolio Optimization (Part 1) – Varsity by Zerodha . It is quite calculation intensive and Risk automates the complete process for portfolio optimization with minimum variance.

  1. Risk will show your holdings and analyze the portfolio.
  2. Portfolio optimization only works for stocks with positive expected returns.
  3. So remove the stocks with negative returns.
  4. Check your overall portfolio returns and portfolio variance.
  5. Click on Optimize to find new weights and new portfolio returns and variance.

Workflow for reference -

Final Output -

This is so calculation intensive that it may take 30-35 seconds if you have a portfolio size of more than 50 stocks. There are almost 4 chapters allocated to the same in varsity to get the basic parameters right before portfolio optimization can be initiated.

Basically, the module helps you optimize portfolio by minimising your portfolio variance and hence portfolio risk. The returns may be impacted but it is supposed to match your risk profile.

Really proud of this one and understanding it in and out was a journey in itself. Hope this helps you make more informed decisions.

In Risk app itself, you can use Basket Order to make your custom strategy with multiple legs and it will give you payoff graphs. Also, you can pick multiple legs from your positions under Strategy Marker and it will show the payoffs graphs with realtime PnL. Apart from this you already have all the known strategies with necessary validations to make sure you are not making a mistake under Strategy Order.

Modules marked in Bold/Italics for your reference. But I do get your question and this is all android app. If for some specific reason, you prefer website over app, you can check -

  1. @Sensibull - It can recommend based on your views.
  2. Upstox Strategy Builder - https://upstox.com/tools-and-calculators/option-strategy-builder/
  3. OptionCreator - https://optioncreator.com/ - It has a feature to save strategy with URL.

Cheers!

From my past five years experience, I learnt one thing which is necessary for trading is a strong and viable strategy for trading based on the good money management plan. Momey management is something primary for the trading. Thank you for paying attention!

You are absolutely right bro. Just trying to spread the same message across … but it is a very difficult sell … :expressionless:

That’s right! Whether lossing or gaining, proper money management will make win always.
