The scanner’s criteria is to show stocks that satisfy (26,9) EMA crossover. Yesterday’s scanner alert showed a result of 21 items.
Same scanner today with offset(-1) shows only 19 items.
Two items(ZENTEC, DOMS) don’t satisfy the conditions as per current chart, but did as per yesterday’s chart.
Can someone explain what happened ? @Streak
Hi @Jazz
Please note that scanners in Streak generate fresh results each time you run them and do not reference previous outputs. Since EMA is a dynamic indicator, its values can slightly adjust even for past candles whenever a new candle is formed. This is because each new data point influences not only the current EMA but also the recent EMA curve due to the smoothing process.
As a result, a crossover that appeared yesterday may no longer be visible when you view the chart today. This can lead to differences in the number of instruments shown when you run the same scanner on the following day.
