Sebi raises F&O position limits to above Rs 7,500 crore or 15% of total OI

Hi,

Sebi has raised F&O position limits to above Rs 7,500 crore (from Rs 500 crore) or 15% of total OI, will Zerodha Start allowing more strike prices?

We do much much higher than 7500 cr, our OI also always close to 15% so at zerodha nothing changes with this rule.

This helps when exchanges releases any new index as initially there will be no much OI and we keep hitting 500cr.

Hi Siva,
With respect to OTM strikes where the buy orders were previously blocked due to 15% or Rs. 500 crores capping, would this new rule have any positive impact?

Our main problem is when we want to buy a far OTM option for hedging, sometimes the buy orders are blocked. So could you please clarify

Any impact for retailers regarding Margins, Option Strike range restrictions, liquidity?
