Selling shares without buying it?

I’m new in stock market , what will happen if i haven’t bought any shares and instead of buying, I use selling option?

i assume you are talking about cash market(not FnO)

If you closed the position on same day,then there is no problem.
if you carried the position overnight,then you will get those shares from auction market and those will be delivered to buyer.

It’s simple, suppose if you do not hold share and making sale it won’t take.

In MIS(Intraday) you can sell share and by 3-15 you have to make buy. It’s called short sell.
