SGB Transfer within CDSL: Angel One to Zerodha

I searched but the only articles I normally found were either about inter-depository like CDSL to NSDL or those that mentioned transfer of shares via Easiest etc.

I didn’t find anything specific on how to transfer within CDSL account (Angel to Zerodha).

Can someone please guide me on the process since I want to close the Angel account & have all the SGBs transferred from that to Zerodha?

Since you want to close the account, it’s best to opt for closure cum transfer.

I contacted Angel & sent then a transfer-cum-closure form with Zerodha CMR copy.

Then replied back & asked me to do it myself via easiest.

Shouldn’t they be doing it themselves?

Can you please give me a concrete answer so that I can simply ask them to do it themselves.

Since it’s a closure cum transfer, there is no need for easiest in this case, it’s best to speak with your Angel broker. You can refer 10.6.1

Has SEBI mandated account closure cum transfers to be free? Can brokers charge for this?

Hi, apologies for the delayed response. Closure-Cum-Transfer has always been free, there are no fees; it’s free irrespective of inter-depository or intra-depository closure-cum-transfer.
