Short delivery in cash market

hello,
when i am observing nse website i came across these figures about short delivery these are not stuck in LC/UC

there are huge quantity of share shorted in cash market but failed give delivery.
doesn’t brokers squareoff these intraday trades?(if they are not prop/fii/dii)
where the auction market run for these shares?
how can i bid in that auction market?

It is special market run by Exchanges where only members of exchange are allowed to participate in Auction process.

Can’t tell about other brokers but Zerodha allows Short Selling of stock only through MIS order type if you don’t have shares in your Demat, and all open MIS orders are automatically squared-off at 3:20 PM by RMS team.

members of exchange are allowed to participate in Auction process.

Means prop/fii/dii/direct members (except clients) looting by bidding at 1.20x of the price
