I short selled one of the company stock and now there are no sellers for the share now what can i do how can i square off(buyback) the shares?
You cannot square of the transaction until there is a seller to the stock. In such a case you will enter into short delivery. On the settlement date not having the particular stock into your account you will default the delivery. An auction will be conducted and prices can range anywhere between +/- 20% for the security.
