IN last 20 years only 3 times nifty went negative
2008- global financial crisis
2011- European debt crisis
2015- Chinese market crash and high inflation
still YTD nifty returns 2026 is -8% - i think nifty will go up from here
to reach atleast flat

i dont understand , why FII always hold short position over 85% above last 2 years - so only nifty is not aggresively not going up

Bank Nifty will go to 70000+ levels. It is clearly leading and on track to cross all time highs in this year.
Market will go up, but it will go up in a way that bulls keep crying. Probably small/midcap stocks will not even move entire year.

Feel midcap and small caps will outperform at index level. The ones which most retailers have in portfolio may not participate this time because they were part of the previous bull run.
