Signature Regarding Doubt

I want to know that can I keep different signature in demat account as of in Aadhar Card and Pan card? Or it is necessary to have the same signature in demat account which I have in the Aadhar and PAN card. Can anyone please tag zerodha officials.

A signature is used for the verification within the respective departments. You can have different signatures in different accounts but when you’re about to verify yourself using signature make sure to do the same signature which is there in the account already. As long as you are able to verify yourself no matter how many signatures you have in how many accounts.

@ShubhS9 @Meher_Smaran @Alwin @Sonia_Nischal @Pawan mentioning all of you because I want answer of this question please.

Hmmm… I don’t see a reason why you can’t have different ones. @Alwin

@Alwin please have a look and clear my doubts.

You can sign according to your preference using any valid document, such as a PAN, Aadhaar, or another recognized ID.

The signature provided during account opening is linked to your account and serves as an authentication measure by being cross-referenced with the application/modification requests that can be submitted in future. This ensures that any request form can be verified against the client’s signature when needed.

Sorry I don’t understand. I just want to ask this. Can I sign a different signature from the one in my PAN card and Aadhaar card while opening my demat account. Is there any rule that I only have to sign similarly in Demat account as of in Pan card? @Alwin

Yes, You can
