How to keep the SL orders so that they are filled. i.e how narrow should be the difference between trigger price and order price. Sometimes the stocks move so fast they get skipped.
There’s no definitive gap that you can give. Due to wild swing in prices, if price drops below the limit price specified then the order will not execute and will remain pending. Not much you can do in this case.
Alternatively, you can place a SL-Market order, once triggered this will execute at the best available price in the market.
