Do you want to invest in stocks or midcap index or funds?

Liked the interview. Invest into the recession and you will make money… Well said regarding IT sector.

“I am not trained to give bullish call on a sector which has done very well. I am trained to give bullish call on a sector which is neglected”. This was in reference to PSU Banks.

Found the above quote quite interesting. Most of the experts only advise to buy when the stock has reached its peak. This interview was refreshing.

Midcap funds, then you can definitely read and watch the interviews of the fund managers who run such funds, it gives an idea.

Also, you can check how the funds have fared in the past, if the same manager/managers have been running it, through rising and falling markets.

You can read the funds’ documents to see their investing strategies, if they have allocated more or less during certain market conditions etc.

You can also check if the funds have outperformed the benchmarks with less fall than the benchmarks.

This is an interesting statement.

Effectively do not predict future (which is going up) but see what is present (which had fallen most or risen least)

one way to implement this advice is to

  • Buy the index of every sector , every cap in equal proportion.

  • Periodically find average current value of investment

  • Those indexes who are above average… take out money from it and invest in those who are below average… Making current value same in all indexes

What better way can be implemented buy low, sell high, without going into deep analysis!
