Yes, you’ll be able to subscribe to SDLs similar to how you can invest into GSecs and TBills.

Wanted to check if there is any update on SDL availability for retail investors. With the recent debt fund issues in mutual fund, thinking of diversifying into SDL to improve fixed income portfolio.
The last few months have been chaotic not just in terms of the market volatility, but also the new regulations brought about. Our team hasn’t had a chance to work on this, I’ll keep you posted.

No, SDLs are not approved for margin pledge by the clearing corporation. You’ll only be able to pledge the securities mentioned in this list.
