Were you short on the first leg ? In such case you have to buy to close the position.
When the position goes deep ITM, it blocks additional margin. You will be unable to buy back options in such case due to shortage in margin.
If your first leg was buy, usually margin will not be coming into the question as you have already paid cash for the premium which you bought.

am i missing some thing here? when i am holding a position by paying ,why it is not allowing to sell the option ,sl didnt hit and i have problem of extra loss .
No idea, it should not be an issue if there is liquidity.
