I was placing the order for bank nifty option. when spot bank nifty was 29800. I wanted to buy 28700 pe, I had the entire margins still got the rejection. I want to know why did this happen ??

the rejection remark was: Strike price is outside the allowed range. Try a strike closer to the spot price.
