Back to trading after 10 years , quite surprised nothing much has changed today in the tooling in regards to advanced features
As a Trader, I want to buy Futures at a price and auto hedge instead of stoploss. With one click I buy a future and its nearest option for hedging. I make minimal decisioning , let the system identify the nearest option for best hedging.System nudge , I take the decision.
For an existing leg of orders (futures + options) , add or remove to the leg based on their current risk positioning . Let the system identify the risk and nudge to the User for appropriate actions from the User. Assisted rebalancing.
One click options strategies . Treat the popular options strategies as first class citizens. With one click i should be able to create straddle, iron condor , etc.
I should be able to templatize configurations . For example control switches.- every futures trade of mine should auto hedge.
Writing down these basics, in principle, minimal decisioning from the trader - expect direction and entry and max to lose in the trade
Expected way more innovation from Zerodha being the market leader but extremely surprised to see the lag.
Now I have to code the above , maintain systems , spend my energy somewhere else other than trading.
Auto-hedging is actually very personal lot size, risk tolerance, capital allocation, expiry preference, delta target, all vary trader to trader. So it probably has to be highly customizable rather than a default feature.
Also, I don’t think any broker is offering true “auto hedge on every futures trade” natively. What you’re asking for can already be approximated using baskets and Sensibull you can build a future + nearest option combo and execute in one go.
As for one-click strategies, popular option strategies are already available on Sensibull, and you can deploy straddles, condors, etc. quickly.
What would really add value is a simple risk-based nudging system that tracks your live exposure and suggests hedges or adjustments dynamically instead of leaving all the risk calculation to the trader.
